Mamta is a 40 year-old Female, with polio in her right lower limb (70%). Mamta & her husband Mahesh (also disabled), have been selling clothes in the weekly flea markets in Kunwar Singh Nagar for the last 10 years.

They have their own cart on which they carry their saleable clothes to the weekly market. They initially earned Rs.6000/- per month only, as they had only a limited stock of clothes due to a lack of resources. Moreover in January 2019, whatever little saving they had, they spent on the construction of their house.

After receiving help from the FOD under the ARS in April 2019, they added stock for the summer season as well. Now they earn Rs.12000/- per month which is twice their earlier income. Hence there is a considerable improvement in Mamta’s financial condition, which is a very positive and encouraging trend.
