Our Programmes - What We Do

Apna Rozgar Scheme (ARS)
Family Of Disabled (FOD) helps in socio-economically rehabilitating people with disabilities, who are illiterate, unskilled and poor and stand no chance of employment. This is done by assisting them to enter into a trade or vocation of their choice. This enables the disabled individuals to financially support themselves as well as their dependents.
Till date, ARS has reached out to 1209 poor disabled individuals, in and around Delhi, in gainful employment with the success rate of above 80%.
Gyan Path
At FOD, we provide financial assistance under Gyanpath to disabled students to attain education, with special emphasis on education for the girl child. The parents of these children are also provided counselling about the benefits of education to encourage them to let their child continue his/her education for a secure and dignified future. FOD has successfully helped 157 young disabled students under this scheme.

Supporting Fine Arts: Beyond Limits
FOD has been promoting talents of artists with disabilities from all over India by showcasing their artworks at reputed art galleries in Delhi NCR. It organises an annual art exhibition – “Beyond Limits” at Arpana Art Gallery, Academy of Fine Arts & Literature, New Delhi, since 2001. Such opportunities provide artists the financial support through the sale of their artwork, as well as a platform for earning public recognition and appreciation for their imagination and creativity.
Artists, seasoned and matured, as well as upcoming and amateur, have been availing the support and exposure provided by these events. Over 250 artists have benefited from this programme.
Providing Assistive Aids and Appliances
FOD distributes mobility aids and other assistive devices such as tricycles, wheelchairs- adult, paediatric, commode, hearing aids, smart phones, push carts, walking sticks and crutches, etc. to disabled children and adults to enable them to lead a comfortable daily life and give respite to their caretakers. We specifically focus on supporting individuals who are self-motivated and pursuing education or trying to support themselves financially.
