What We Do

Our Programmes

Five sustainable interventions designed to transform lives with dignity, independence, and lasting impact.

01

Apna Rozgar Scheme (ARS)

Family of Disabled helps in socio-economically rehabilitating people with disabilities who are illiterate, unskilled and poor — individuals who stand little chance of conventional employment. We assist them in entering a trade or vocation of their own choice.

This enables individuals to financially support themselves as well as their dependents, creating not just a livelihood but a sense of agency, dignity, and pride. The scheme has supported everything from vegetable vendors to mobile repair shops to tailoring businesses.

Gyan Path — Education Support

At FOD, we believe education is the single most powerful investment we can make in a disabled child's future. Under Gyan Path, we provide financial assistance to disabled students to help them continue their education — with special emphasis on the girl child.

Parents of these children are also counselled about the profound benefits of education, encouraging them to support their child's journey toward a secure and dignified future. The programme ensures no child has to drop out due to economic hardship alone.

Beyond Limits — Supporting Fine Arts

FOD has been promoting the talents of artists with disabilities from across India by showcasing their artworks at reputed art galleries in Delhi NCR. Since 2001, we have organised the annual Beyond Limits art exhibition at Arpana Art Gallery, Academy of Fine Arts & Literature, New Delhi.

These exhibitions provide artists — seasoned and amateur alike — with the financial support through sale of their artwork, plus a platform for earning public recognition and appreciation for their imagination and creativity. The event has grown into a celebrated institution in the Delhi arts calendar.

Assistive Aids & Appliances

FOD distributes mobility aids and other assistive devices to disabled children and adults, enabling them to lead a more comfortable, independent daily life while giving much-needed respite to their caretakers.

We specifically focus on supporting individuals who are self-motivated and are pursuing education or trying to support themselves financially. Devices distributed include tricycles with special features, adult & paediatric wheelchairs, commode wheelchairs, hearing aids, smartphones, push carts, walking sticks, and crutches.
