Suresh Yadav, a 36 year-old Male, with polio left lower limb (65%). He is staying in a rented house on main road Najafgarh, New Delhi. For the last 20 years he has been selling fresh fruits juice as his shop is on main Najafgarh road outside Bata Showroom.
But his income per day was Rs. 200/- to 250/- and he could not expand his business due to lack of financial resources. When he got an interest free loan of Rs. 6000/- he started selling vegetable juice of carrot, beet root etc., which was a long outstanding demand of his customers especially in winter season. After he started selling vegetable juice he faced some money crunch for stocking vegetables & fruits etc.

At that time he applied for help under ARS in his wife’s name Smt. Leela Devi (who is also disabled). After taking loan of RS. 6000/- in his wife’s name, he was able to stock required amount of fruits & vegetables and with the sale of fresh fruit &vegetable juice, he started earning Rs.600/- to 700/- per day. With FOD’s intervention, his monthly income has increased three times his earlier income. His financial condition has improved considerably which is a positive & encouraging trend.
